What’s Next — Part Two

Casualties of Internal War

The story continues.

I am currently working on Part Two, Casualties of Internal War will explore my life after system involvement walking through the years that followed. It centers what happens when the fight doesn’t end? Part Two examines life as an advocate while still living in survival: navigating motherhood, unresolved trauma, financial instability, public visibility, and the emotional labor of becoming a national voice before having the time or space to fully heal. It tells the story of building a platform while carrying grief, responsibility, and the quiet costs of survival that are rarely named.

This book traces my evolution into advocacy — not as a clean arc of empowerment, but as a layered, human process. Advocacy born from necessity, not readiness. Becoming visible while still healing. Holding leadership and vulnerability at the same time. Learning how to survive with purpose, not just through endurance.

Motherhood sits at the center of this story — reshaping my understanding of justice, protection, and what it means to fight for a future while still tending to the past.

Part Two is not a victory lap. It is an honest continuation.

Casualties of Internal War is about the invisible wounds left behind by systems, expectations, and survival itself. It asks who pays the price when healing is postponed in the name of resilience — and what it takes to reclaim softness, rest, and humanity while still fighting for change.

This is not a story of triumph alone.
It is a story of becoming, contradiction, and choosing to live beyond survival — even while carrying the costs of internal war.

Part Two is currently in progress.
